Police, Grapes, and Fall

It’s Monday again (why, oh why are weekends so short?) and is thus time to look back at three beautiful things from the past week:

1. Even though she’d missed the initial sales announcement, a friend of mine was able to get four tickets to the Police concert in November, and one of them is for me.

2. I bought a quart of Concord grapes at Eastern Market yesterday, and they are brilliantly flavorful. If purple had a taste, it would be these grapes.

3. The weather this weekend was everything I love about fall – warm in the sun, cool in the shade, breezy, and humidity-free.

Updated to add:
Oh, I am such an idiot… I completely forgot to include the most beautiful thing from last week — MsP’s baby arrived on Wednesday. The entire FamigliaP is happy, healthy, and one would assume, very, very tired.

Oh they had your concord grape juice this week at Lone Maple — but, alas, can’t fathom hauling grape juice to Chicago — can you only imagine what it would do in your luggage if it leaked?? And, I left my cooler in Houston besides — just didn’t want to haul it back. Next spring/summer, I’ll get a new one — not now; none to be had! P.S. Sorry, it WAS DELICIOUS! -M
