I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised by this, but it’s proving difficult to get back in the swing of blogging after my month-long break. Perhaps if I had spent my time on vacation in an exotic locale and had a wide variety of colorful experiences to share, it would be easier. The mundane reality — that I spent February cultivating a closer relationship with my computer — does not make for much in the way of scintillating storytelling, unless tales of sciatica and other repetitive-stress injuries are considered thrilling.
There’s not a lot to report in my immediate post-launch world, either. I spent the weekend alternately vegging out and cleaning my apartment, which is much improved for the effort. (Much as I wish I was the sort of housekeeper my mother raised me to be — the kind who tidies things daily and always puts the clothes in the hamper and the dishes in the dishwasher — I am, emphatically, not.) It will probably take another weekend’s work to really get it back to completely clean, but reversing four weeks worth of mess in only two weekends is impressive, right?
I’ll do my best to start being a bit more observant of life around me so as to start crafting interesting posts again soon; bear with me in the meantime. And if you didn’t find me particularly enchanting before and therefore are wondering what crap I’ll come up with next, please don’t tell me.
