Have you heard that the 8 gig iPhone just went down $200 in price? I mention this only because my Treo is now moving even closer to complete collapse.
(Mom? Is that offer still open?)
A blog desperately seeking a new name.

As most of you know Sweetpea and my husband have agonized over whether or not to join the iPhone generation. Knowing precious little about all things technological, I have had very little leverage to dissuade them. The one thing I do know is that second generation anything is better than the first (technologically speaking). So I was pleased when I found this in this morning’s newspaper (sorry I don’t know how to do fancy links):

I’m sure the bugs will be worked out soon enough, and a bigger and better iPhone is in our future. Here’s hoping that prospect is enough to get me through a 95 degree / 95 percent humidity Tuesday in Houston, Texas! (That and my pool noodles.)
Just two more days until the iPhone is available and I have a serious case of object lust. I have, in fact, since it was first announced. When I was e-mailing the IT director at work about it back in January, I honestly said “It is so beautiful I can hardly stand it.”(Yes, I really am that geeky.)
As time has passed and news of the iPhone’s features has come out, my interest in it has only increased. With the launch looming, reviews are starting to come in, most of which suggest it is worth the hype. Even better, AT&T has announced that the rate plans for the iPhone will start at $59/month with all features included — so my monthly phone bill will actually go down.
But $500 for a phone? I don’t know if my inner cheapskate (yes, I do have one) will allow me to spend that much.
