I Must Love My Job

Today, in the service of a fun project at work, I officially humiliated myself on the internets. (Note the entirely un-slick manner in which I read my lines off the giant white board.)

You can find the virtual attendee site here, or follow my work tweets (which may, in some cases, be shockingly similar to the personal tweets fed into the  sidebar) here.

Sorry, I Gave at the Office

It’s been rather quiet here in the Land of Blog this week. I’ve been on deadline for a couple of things at work and have been pushing the pixels with such vigor that the idea of spending any additional time on the computer has seemed entirely unappealiing. In fact, even now I can’t find the energy to grab the laptop and type a proper post and am instead thumb-typing on my phone. But, since I know the internet beast demands to be fed, I thought I’d drop by long enough to post a link to something I wrote for the job, since that’s where all my energy has been going. Enjoy!

Oh No! The Internet is Broken!

OK, not the whole internet. Just Twitter. And LiveJournal. And Facebook, at least a little.

The non-broken parts of the internet are abuzz with news of a massive denial of service attack on Twitter, and I can’t help but wonder if the related downtime on Facebook is due to a jillion disgruntled Twitterers all landing on FB at once to bitch.

I’m happy to report TechCrunch has a very helpful list of things to to when Twitter is down.  (Without this, I’d have to turn my attention back to work. Bleh.) I’ve done 2, 6, and 12 so far, and with this post now have 8 covered. Whew.

I’m reading now that Twitter is back up, so I’ll see if I can finally send that work-related (seriously) tweet like I was planning to do when this whole thing started. If not, I’ll be moving on to #15 shortly.
